We identify how each review was made
Hands-on tested means the product was used directly and the review explains the evaluation period and relevant conditions.
Research-backed means the assessment relies on verified specifications, manufacturer documentation, reputable independent evidence, and transparent comparison criteria.
First look covers early information that is useful but not yet sufficient for a final recommendation.
Scores and awards
Scores summarize the review described on the page. They are not copied from retailers or customer-review averages. An award such as NerdFuse Pick reflects the editorial conclusion at the time of review and may be revised when products or markets change.
Buying guides
Guide product cards inherit shared facts from NerdFuse review records. Editors add the guide-specific “Why we picked it” and “Who it’s for” explanations separately. This avoids inconsistent scores and specifications across articles.
Affiliate relationships
Commercial availability does not determine whether a product is recommended. Affiliate links may generate revenue, but they do not change the price paid by readers or replace editorial judgment.
Images, sources, and corrections
Product imagery must have a recorded source and usage basis. AI may assist with organization and drafting, but it is not treated as evidence. Material factual corrections should be made promptly, and substantive updates should be reflected in the page’s updated date.
