Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro Review (2026): Premium Wear OS Value With Some Rough Edges
A premium-looking Wear OS smartwatch with Google apps, strong hardware and multi-day potential, but fitness accuracy and software polish remain its weak spots.

What stands out
- Excellent AMOLED display — the 1.43-inch 466 × 466 panel remains sharp, colourful and easy to read.
- Proper Google apps — Maps, Wallet, Assistant, WhatsApp, Spotify and other Wear OS apps dramatically expand what the watch can do.
- Premium construction — stainless steel and a rotating crown make it feel considerably more expensive than many budget smartwatches.
- Strong hardware — Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage remain respectable even several years after launch.
- Fast charging — reviewers measured roughly 32–40 minutes for a full charge.
- Optional LTE — the cellular version can make calls and use online services without keeping the phone beside you where carrier support is available.

Before you buy
- It's a big watch — the roughly 54g stainless-steel body can feel heavy during workouts and sleep.
- GPS isn't as good as the specification suggests — Wareable recorded errors of roughly 100–200m in many sessions.
- Workout heart rate can struggle — interval testing showed readings around 5–7 BPM below comparison devices in some sessions.
- Body composition is best treated as an estimate — repeated measurements varied substantially in independent testing.
- Mi Fitness needs more polish — reviewers have reported awkward presentation, sync issues and occasional software bugs.
- Battery results vary enormously — some reviewers achieved around two days, while others struggled to get through one.
Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro Review
Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro is getting old by smartwatch standards, but its specification sheet doesn’t really look old.
You still get a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, stainless-steel case, Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and Google’s Wear OS platform. There’s also NFC for Google Wallet, Google Maps, third-party apps, optional LTE and dual-band GPS.
That’s a lot of smartwatch for a device launched back in 2023.
Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro’s display and hardware remain excellent
The screen is one of the Watch 2 Pro’s biggest strengths. Its 466 × 466 AMOLED panel is sharp and bright, and independent reviewers like Wareable consistently praised its quality.
The stainless-steel construction also helps it feel more like a traditional watch than a cheap fitness tracker. There is a trade-off, though: size and weight.
At around 47.6mm across and roughly 54g before adding the strap, this is a chunky smartwatch. Wareable found the weight particularly noticeable during running and while sleeping.
Wear OS is the real reason to buy it
The biggest difference between the Watch 2 Pro and many cheaper Xiaomi watches is software.
Wear OS gives you access to apps such as Google Maps, Wallet, Spotify and WhatsApp, along with Google’s broader app ecosystem. That turns it into a genuinely useful extension of an Android phone rather than simply something that displays notifications and counts steps.
And despite originally shipping with Wear OS 3.5, the Watch 2 Pro has continued receiving major software updates; Wareable lists it running Wear OS 5 in 2026.
Fitness tracking is the weak point
On paper, the Watch 2 Pro looks like a serious fitness device. There’s dual-frequency GPS, more than 150 sports modes, heart-rate tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking and body-composition measurements.
Independent testing makes the picture less impressive. Wareable found GPS distance errors of roughly 100–200 metres during many sessions, while interval heart-rate readings could fall around 5–7 BPM below comparison devices. It also recorded significant variation from the body-composition feature.
Other reviewers had better results, so the Watch 2 Pro is perfectly usable for casual activity tracking. But we’d hesitate to rely on it for serious training decisions.
Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro is NOT horrible

Battery life depends heavily on how you use it
Xiaomi advertises up to 65 hours for the Bluetooth model and 55 hours for LTE. Real-world results are far less predictable.
Wareable achieved roughly two days with extensive tracking enabled, while Tech Advisor struggled to make it through much more than one. Stuff also found around two days achievable. The good news is charging is fast. Independent reviews measured a complete recharge in roughly 32–40 minutes.
Reader questions
Frequently asked questions
Is Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro still worth buying in 2026?
It can be, particularly at a substantial discount. The Snapdragon W5+ processor, AMOLED display, Google apps and newer Wear OS software keep it useful. Its biggest weaknesses are fitness accuracy, size and inconsistent battery performance.
Does Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro have Google Maps?
Yes. Because it runs Wear OS, the Watch 2 Pro supports Google Maps along with Google Wallet and apps downloaded from Google Play.
Does Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro work with iPhone?
No. Xiaomi officially specifies Android 8.0 or later with Google Mobile Services.
How long does Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro battery last?
Xiaomi claims up to 65 hours for Bluetooth and 55 hours for LTE. Real-world reviews range from approximately one day to two or more days depending on settings and usage.
Is Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro good for running?
It’s adequate for casual running but wouldn’t be our first choice for serious training. Wareable encountered both heart-rate and GPS inaccuracies despite the watch’s dual-band GNSS hardware.
Can you swim with Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro?
Yes. Xiaomi rates it at 5ATM and specifically allows swimming and shallow-water activities. Xiaomi says it should not be used for diving, hot showers or saunas.

Verdict
The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro is still surprisingly capable in 2026, especially if you find it heavily discounted. You get a stainless-steel case, excellent AMOLED screen, Snapdragon W5+ processor, Google Wallet, Maps, Play Store apps, optional LTE and dual-band GNSS. But this isn't the watch we'd choose primarily for serious running or detailed fitness tracking. Independent testing found inconsistent GPS, exercise heart-rate tracking and body-composition measurements, while Mi Fitness and Xiaomi's Wear OS implementation have attracted complaints about bugs. Wareable For someone mainly interested in smartwatch features rather than sports accuracy, there's still plenty to like.
Best for: Android users who want a large, premium-looking Wear OS smartwatch without paying flagship prices.
